Renowned Musicians Slated for New York-area's Premier Jewish Concert
NEW YORK, N.Y., Jan. 2, 2015 – Miles Berger, chairman and chief executive officer of The Berger Organization, will serve as chairman for the 2015 Hebrew Academy for Special Children (HASC) “A Time for Music 28.” Slated for Sunday, Jan. 11, at Lincoln Center’s Avery Fisher Hall in Manhattan, the annual event is widely considered to be the New York area’s premier Jewish concert.
A Time for Music 28 will feature performances by well-known artists Yaakov Shwekey, Abie Rotenberg, Benny Friedman, Simcha Leiner and Dedi, with the Neginah Orchestra conducted by Yochi Briskman. Nachum Segal is serving as event host. Tickets can be purchased online at hasc.net/concert.
“Acting as chairman for this renowned concert is truly an honor,” noted Berger, who heads a privately held commercial real estate organization based in Newark, New Jersey. “Beyond the incredible talent that this event showcases, its proceeds support an important, faith-based organization. HASC serves a vital role within the New York regional community by providing beneficial services to young people with special needs.”
Founded in 1963, HASC offers high-quality education and therapeutic services for physically and intellectually challenged children. The organization has grown to six locations servicing more than 1,100 clients. Its highly structured and individualized, non-denominational programs concentrate on the development of the whole child in the least restrictive environment, according to the organization’s website.
